A note from Cruzer's family:
We adopted "Scotty" on May 6th and he was everything I never wanted... I was anti boy dogs, anything that resembled a pit bull and an unknown shelter story. My boyfriend(now fiancee) convinced me to go see him after a concert in Sacramento. 2 hours later we arrived at BEBHS he was being adopted, our hearts were heavy but a li'l hope and prayer and the couple changed their mind. We had Scotty in the car 20 min later by the end of the 4 hour car ride home we re-named him Cruzer. It has been the best 2 months, he is the love of our life and we can't imagine what our life was without him. He loves his life in Tahoe, he swims, hikes, plays and has too many friends to count. He has never met a dog he didn't like and has gotten much better at realizing not every dog he comes across wants to play with him. We take him to everything we can and he does great at small gatherings, softball games or stand up paddle board races in a crowd of 500. I should probably start him his own fan page on facebook because he gets more attention then a new born LOL. We are grateful everyday for the services you provide and the love our li'l guy got before he came home with us. Person after person approaches us asking about his breed and wants a Cruzer, we always point them in a shelter direction.
Lying next to his friend Akua. She is paralyzed in her hind legs and they wrestle for hours, cutest thing!
Thank you again for our baby and taking such great care of him before he came home to us!!!
----------------After BEBHS is a weekly post where we will feature notes and photos from animals rescued by BEBHS and adopted into their forever homes. If you've adopted a pet from us, we would love to hear from you! Please send update and photos to firstname.lastname@example.org.
